The MAX30102 is a biosensor module that integrates pulse oximetry and heart rate monitoring functions. The module skillfully integrates red LEDs and infrared LEDs, and is equipped with photodetectors, optical devices, and low-noise electronic circuits with ambient light suppression to ensure high-precision measurements.
In terms of power supply design, the MAX30102 utilizes an 18V power supply as well as a separate 50V power supply dedicated to the internal LEDs, meeting the stringent needs of wearable devices in heart rate and blood oxygen collection and detection. Whether worn on the finger, earlobe or wrist, the module provides accurate and reliable measurements.
For seamless connection with other devices, MAX30102 is equipped with a standard I2C-compatible communication interface, which can easily transfer the collected data to microcontrollers such as Arduino, KL25Z, etc. for further calculation and analysis of heart rate and blood oxygen. In addition, the module is equipped with a software shutdown function and a near-zero standby current, which effectively extends the device’s battery life.
