The T-Keyboard S3 Pro is an upgraded version of the T-Keyboard S3, designed to offer advanced features for IoT projects, interactive applications, and embedded systems. This upgraded version replaces the external expansion interface of the original T-Keyboard S3 with four magnetic connection interfaces, allowing multiple T-Keyboard S3 Pro devices to be connected simultaneously (up to 6 devices). This setup enhances flexibility and scalability for larger projects.
In addition to these new magnetic connection features, the T-Keyboard S3 Pro introduces a fifth screen, expanding the screen setup from four to five. The fifth screen can be swapped out for a rotary encoder, offering more control options for your project. However, due to hardware wiring restrictions, the expansion is limited, allowing for one device to be expanded left and right and two devices downwards, forming a 2×3 grid layout.
Key Features of T-Keyboard S3 Pro
1. Magnetic Connections for Easy Expansion
- Four Magnetic Interfaces: Quick connection for multiple T-Keyboard S3 Pro devices, with support for up to 6 devices connected simultaneously.
- Flexible Layout: Devices can be expanded left/right (1 device) and downwards (up to 2 devices), creating a 2×3 grid layout.
- Convenient Interconnection: Simplifies physical connections and enhances scalability in larger setups.
2. Five Screens with Flexible Controls
- Five Screens: The T-Keyboard S3 Pro adds an additional screen to the original four, making it perfect for projects requiring multiple displays.
- Rotary Encoder Option: The fifth screen position can be replaced with a rotary encoder, providing greater control for interactive applications.
3. 14 Programmable RGB LEDs
- RGB LED Lights: 14 programmable RGB LEDs for customizable lighting effects and visual feedback.
- Brightness Control: When connecting multiple boards, the LED brightness should be set to 10 to avoid excess heat generation and power consumption, ensuring efficient performance even with up to 6 devices.

Tips
1. The default firmware is set to I2C communication expansion mode. It is important to note that to expand the number of slave devices, each additional device must have a unique I2C address. Slave devices cannot be used independently, the correct usage is in a setup where one master device communicates with multiple slave devices. |
2. Up to 6 devices can be connected, when connecting more than one device you need to reduce the maximum brightness of the on-board LED to 10. |
3. There are some limitations on the expansion direction of the board due to the long distance wiring of the hardware. Only one device can be expanded on the left and right sides of the mainframe, and a maximum of two devices can be expanded downward (USB ports will prevent expansion). This creates a 2×3 grid layout with a total of 6 devices. |
4. When running multiple boards, it is not advisable to set the brightness to maximum due to the large number of LED. (If all the LEDs are on, a lot of heat is generated, and the USB ports have limited supply current.) |
